In short

This site sets no cookies of its own: no analytics, no advertising, no profiling. That is why you don’t see a cookie banner: there is nothing to accept. The only thing we save in your browser is your quiz progress, and third-party services come into play only in the cases described below.

What we save in your browser

If you play the quiz on /gioca/, the game uses your browser’s local storage (localStorage) to remember your best scores, your settings, the photos you have already seen and the proposals you have made in the “Who’s that?” mode. The keys all start with “kq:”.

  • It is not a cookie: it is not sent to us with every visit and it stays on your device.
  • It is strictly necessary for a feature you asked for (playing and keeping your records), so under Italian law it needs no consent (Art. 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003, and the Garante’s cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021).
  • The only thing that reaches us is a “Who’s that?” proposal, and only when you press send: see the privacy policy.

Third-party services

Some content is loaded from Google’s servers. These are requests made by your browser, not cookies set by us; but whoever answers them receives your IP address, as happens with any website.

Fonts (Google Fonts)

On every page the typefaces are downloaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google receives your IP address and the technical data of the request.

Video previews (YouTube)

Video thumbnails are images downloaded from i.ytimg.com when the page opens. Same as above: a request, not a cookie.

YouTube player

The player loads only when you click a video (in privacy-enhanced mode, from youtube-nocookie.com) or when you start the quiz mode with video clips. From that moment YouTube and Google may set cookies or similar storage in your browser, under their own cookie policy. If you don’t start any video, the player is never loaded.

Links to social networks

Links to Instagram, YouTube and Facebook are plain links: they load nothing until you click them.

How to delete or block them

  • Quiz data: in your browser settings, delete the site data (cookies and site data) for krapinvaders.com. You will lose your records and settings.
  • YouTube cookies: delete the cookies of youtube.com and youtube-nocookie.com, or block third-party cookies in your browser settings.
  • Private browsing: in a private window everything is deleted when you close it.
