Summer Nature Camp 2025 was a full immersion in the local natural and historical heritage, with a strong focus on the independence and resilience of the young participants. Day 1 - Independence, physical effort and rediscovering history: We started with a tough trek from the Busa del Novegno up to the top of Monte Brazome. What made this edition special was asking for full independence from the kids, who had to carry in their backpacks everything they needed for a day and a half (water, food, sleeping gear). This conscious physical effort helped them understand the value of resources and the limits of their own bodies. The big new thing was the night spent inside the caves/trenches of the First World War: a night in close contact with the woods, without everyday comforts. This "extreme" experience sparked real reflection on modern comforts and on how we adapt to bare-bones conditions, while also letting the kids explore the area's historical remains first-hand. Day 2 - Sport and proprioception: After breakfast at camp and taking down the tents, the group trekked on towards San Rocco. The second part of the camp focused on motor skills using trampolines. These sessions let the kids work on balance and coordination, turning the previous day's fatigue into technical awareness and movement control, despite the rain that arrived at lunchtime. The camp was a big moment of personal growth, where effort and sharing unusual spaces strengthened team spirit and our bond with our mountains.
